The best kind of attitude to maintain is one that comes with so much gratitude. Gratitude is an antidote for all the negativities that life has to offer.

I share the same sentiments as Branch from the animated movie Trolls when he said, “The world isn’t all cupcakes and rainbows.” There is so much truth in this, and I learned that when life knocked me down to ground zero. I suffered from clinical depression and anxiety when my life went downhill. I vividly remember those nights when I constantly battled agonizing thoughts that terrorized my mind, the voice that told me I wasn’t good enough, the unhealthy eating habits, the sleeplessness, and the irregular hygiene routines.

Amid this turmoil, I stumbled upon The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. One word that deeply resonated with me was gratitude. In spite of everything, I was still alive and well, with a roof over my head and a family that loved me, even while I isolated myself. I was reminded of how abundant God’s grace and mercy are in my life, shown through both tangible and intangible blessings. I also learned to stay content and grateful in every trial, because there is always a silver lining when gratitude is given even for the difficult experiences.

However, procrastination became a habit during my struggles, making it hard to keep up with daily affirmations and gratitude lists. Then I discovered the Gratitude app, and it truly helped me. This app is a jewel, the prompts are wonderful, and I am so thankful I found it. Thank you!
Thank you! Thank you!
