My name is Kim. I am a 37-year-old mother of two. Over the years, I have realized that you never truly know when your time on earth will come to an end, and that it is so important to cherish every blessing and show love to the people who matter most.

I had a humble upbringing, raised by a single mother along with my little brother. We didn’t have much, but my mom instilled in us the values of integrity, gratitude, humility, and servitude.

When I was 28, my life began to unravel. I was eight months pregnant with my second child when my mom was battling lung cancer. She fought for six months before passing away. The year before that, my grandpa had died from a heart attack, and five years before that, my uncle took his own life. Losing my mom broke me completely.

After my second child was born, I developed an addiction to pain pills. Not long after, our family home was destroyed in a fire. A few months later, I went to jail for five months because of my addiction. When I got out, I thought life was finally getting better, but soon after, I lost my grandmother, my childhood friend, my babysitter who helped raise me, and a close family friend.

Through all this loss, I almost lost myself too. I had always believed in God, but it wasn’t until I truly reached out to Him that I began to understand the power of gratitude and the importance of living each day to the fullest.

The Gratitude app has helped me stay grounded and positive. Journaling, affirmations, and a deep connection to God have helped me rebuild my happiness and my faith.

All things are possible through Christ Jesus. I’ve learned to keep a positive mindset, to trust in God’s plan, and to be grateful for the life and love I still have.
