Warm greetings to the person reading this—I hope your day is as beautiful as you are. 💛

I am a 26-year-old woman, and though I don’t like dwelling on the past, I’ll share mine so you can understand where I’m coming from. Not long ago, I was in a very dark place—mentally and physically. I was emotionally drained. If not fully depressed, I was certainly close. It felt like my whole world was shattering, and every painful thing that could happen seemed to choose the same year to do so.

I was constantly criticizing myself, comparing my life to my peers who seemed to be blooming, and drowning in negative self-talk. I hated myself and my life because of poor decisions I had made. At one point, I even sought comfort in alcohol. I was truly at my lowest.

But I’ve always been curious and hungry for knowledge. One day, I had an honest meeting with myself and decided I couldn’t go on living like that. I started reading self-empowering books like Atomic Habits and The Power of the Subconscious Mind. From them, I learned that I was the one allowing my mind to work against me—and the universe simply mirrored what I believed. That realization was the turning point.

I decided to change my thoughts. I started learning from every resource I could find, even what I like to call the “University of TikTok.” That’s where I came across a post that said: We have so much to be grateful for, but we train our minds to focus only on the negative. As a result, we keep attracting negativity. Practice gratitude and positive self-talk, and life will change.

Those words struck me deeply. I searched for a way to keep myself consistent with gratitude, and that’s when I found this app. I began with the 7-day gratitude challenge, setting reminders for morning and night. Each morning, I practiced gratitude. Each night, I wrote a random entry.

And I kid you not—my life changed for the better. I began to enjoy living again. I started noticing positivity everywhere, and I became genuinely optimistic. Blessings seemed to flow into my life more easily. Most importantly, I fell in love with myself and with life itself.

Now, I no longer struggle with the heavy weight of negative thoughts. Instead, I wake up looking forward to each new day. Gratitude has been a complete game-changer for me.

There is so much to be grateful for—we just need to shift our focus. Focus on negativity, and you’ll attract more of it. Focus on gratitude, and you’ll attract more blessings.

How I wish this was taught in schools, because it truly changes lives. The change starts within: change your thoughts, change your attitude, and you’ll change your life.

Stay blessed. 🌸
