Before learning how to embrace a grateful mindset, Alina felt like something was constantly missing. Her emotions were tangled and heavily driven by anger, leaving her constantly on the edge of conflict. Whenever sadness set in, it felt like a heavy stone resting right on her chest. At the time, she simply did not know how to be thankful for the life she already had.
Everything started to change when she read Rhonda Byrne’s book, The Secret, and explored the writings of Vikas Trivedi. Eager to build a steady habit of her own, she began looking for tools and found the Gratitude app. It quickly became more than just an app. It became her daily diary and a safe space to pour out her feelings, emotions, and life events.
As a busy teacher, Alina’s mornings were always rushed. So, she carved out a quiet routine in the evening instead. In those peaceful moments right before sleep, she reflected on her day. She started small by giving thanks for the most basic things: a warm bed, food on the table, a steady job, and a healthy family. Over time, she joined the app’s seven-day challenges. She even used her journal to write about future events like her dog’s upcoming vet visit. This helped her consciously visualize a positive outcome long before it ever happened.
Little by little, this evening practice completely rewired her mindset. The intense anger that used to control her slowly faded away. She learned how to pause and control her reactions. By using positive self-talk, she finally lifted that heavy burden off her chest.
“I have realised one thing: I am the best at everything. What once seemed impossible to me is now possible. There are no limits. I know I can do anything with the help of gratitude, the Universe, and God. Difficulties make me stronger because I know my worth.”
~Alina
This quiet internal shift soon created beautiful changes in her everyday life. Alina is a self-described workaholic who genuinely loves her job, and she recently graduated with another specialist diploma. Her newfound positive energy also attracted unexpected opportunities in her life. She even found her current flat simply by speaking her desire out loud and trusting that the right home would appear.
Today, Alina actively passes this mindset on to her students. She encourages her pupils to use positive self-talk right before their exams. For anyone currently facing a hard time, she highly recommends practicing gratitude and trusting God to find inner calm whenever anger or sadness tries to take over.
More than anything, she wants people to know that heavy emotions can easily blind us to the answers sitting right in front of us.
“Every problem has a solution, and sometimes the solution is very close to you. You just don’t see it because you’re going through a lot and you don’t see that the solution is somewhere next to the door.”
~Alina
Alina’s journey reminds us that gratitude does not ignore the reality of our hardships. Instead, it gives us the clear head we need to handle them. Building a daily habit of thankfulness is really about steadying your thoughts and believing in the good that is on its way. By training ourselves to find small blessings on the ordinary days, we build the exact strength needed for the hardest ones. Alina chose to actively look for the good, and by doing so, she built a reality with truly no limits.
We hope her story inspires you to find a little peace in your evenings and trust the possibilities waiting for you.
