For a person full of worries and sorrows, having a good circle of friends, chatting with them, and playing games always seemed like a dream. I was never the one to have even a wholesome conversation with someone. I felt miserable and isolated.

Then COVID-19 struck my town. Everything shut down, and I found myself in quarantine, confined to my home. During that time, I realized how blessed I truly was. Despite the fear and uncertainty, I was safe and healthy. I became deeply thankful and grateful to Allah for protecting me and keeping me well when so many others were suffering.

A year later, when the spread of the virus slowed, I returned to work. I noticed something had changed within me. I smiled more often. My old victim mindset began to fade. I started being kind to everyone without expecting anything in return.

Gradually, I realized there were many people who liked me and wanted to be my friends. I developed genuine connections, and my life began to brighten. I was no longer shy. I became confident and strong-minded.

One thing that helped me explore my gratitude was journaling. Pouring out my emotions on paper helped me release pain and focus on the beauty in my life. Gratitude truly transformed me.
