There’s a deeply situated, innate sense of inner safety we are born with when we receive love and care as infants under the right conditions. But as we grow older and experience events and situations that threaten this core sense of safety, our inner compass finds it difficult to calibrate itself back to the harmony or balance we once experienced.

Multiple such experiences can keep us stuck in survival mode unless we consciously decide to recalibrate and restore the sense of safety we need to live well. The affirmations here today are here to help you do just that. If you take a few minutes out for yourself every day, sit in silence, and gently say these out loud to yourself while taking a few deep breaths if needed, you may find that connecting within gets easier and you may feel safer.

Inner safety comes in multiple forms that overlap and form protective layers for us. These may include our core beliefs, emotional safety, mental safety, bodily safety, relational safety, and permission and trust.
