Beware the Ides of March? Not necessarily. Following Friday the 14th’s total eclipse of the Moon, Mercury turns retrograde during the wee hours of Saturday morning. Coming so close together it may be difficult to know precisely which event is making an impact. If the stars are closely aligned with birth chart planets or angles, eclipses can trigger significant endings or clarifying realizations. Mercury’s retrograde in Aries urges us to think deliberately, take time to ponder recent happenings and more fully grasp the impact of past events.
There is another notable event during the second half of March. Mysterious Neptune, altruistic and highly empathic in its own sign of Pisces, changes signs. During the morning of Sunday March 30th Neptune enters Aries. The last time this occurred was during April of 1861, the month the American Civil War began. Unlike the 19th century entry, Neptune is not traveling alone. Faster moving Saturn is now overtaking Neptune. Saturn and Neptune are both associated with loss. Many souls are feeling the sorrow of seeing America’s democratic institutions compromised. Pragmatic Saturn asks that a deeper commitment to heartfelt ideals and causes be made. The two will travel in close proximity during the coming year. Under this conjunction stalwart souls have the ability to turn their inspiration into reality.
Getting back to the latter days of March, the Libra Moon opposes both retrograde Venus and retrograde Mercury this Saturday, the 15th. Plans may change. Reunions, another common occurrence during retrogrades, are likely. The morning can be a good time to put your home in order. Saturday night get togethers sparkle under a lunar trine with outspoken Jupiter. The final days of the Sun in Pisces are comparatively quiet. On Wednesday the 19th the Sun makes its last conjunction with Neptune for the next century and a half. The emotional content of this day is enormous. Hearts and minds are super sensitive. Inspirations come easily. Get past doubts and believe in your dreams, ideals and passions.
Spring begins on Thursday the 20th. Before dawn the Sun arrives in Aries, also marking the start of the new astrological year. High overhead the Moon is trine Neptune, the Aries Sun, Venus and Mercury. The new season promises to renew vigor and faith.
A Friday evening gathering has the potential to be both enlightening and healing. Venus is favorably aligned with Pluto, a good omen for meaningful social exchanges. Restless energies take hold on Saturday the 22nd. The tense Last Quarter Capricorn Moon dominates the early going. Lunar squares with Venus and Mercury follow. Pick up the phone and reach out to friends and relatives. The Aries Sun is conjunct Venus Saturday night, making this another favorable time to meet up with people.
Sunday the 23rd sees alliances strengthened as the Sun forms a sextile with Pluto. Partnering is productive under this aspect, and group actions can be especially powerful. Emphasize constructive change to make the most of the alignment. Monday the 24th’s featured aspect is a Solar conjunction with Mercury. This is a fabulous day for correcting mistakes, righting wrongs and laying certain burdens aside. Healing and restorative energies continue to be strong into Tuesday evening when retrograding Mercury forms a sextile with Pluto.
Retrograde Venus backs into Pisces on Thursday the 27th where she makes her final conjunction with Neptune in the Sign of the Fishes. Get out the hankies. Hearts are extra sensitive. Loving may assume otherworldly sacredness. Creative types draw from the deepest wells of inspiration.
We are nearing the Aries New Moon/Solar Eclipse. Things that have recently begun or are still in the planning stages are unlikely to proceed as conceived. Surprises are in store. New information can be revealed that dramatically alters the course of events. Friday the 28th features a string of empowering celestial influences. Stay alert and ready to improvise. The Moon is new, eclipsing the Sun on the morning of Saturday the 29th. Moods are upbeat yet mellow. Mental Mercury, having backtracked into Pisces, also makes a final conjunction with Neptune in Pisces. Inner longings are intensely felt. The creative potential is enormous. Some souls are prepared to proceed on pure faith.
Neptune makes the jump into Aries early on the morning of Sunday the 30th. Caution is advised as the Moon also tests Mars and Pluto. Be sure you don’t rush into something without carefully considering the likely consequences. Incredibly busy and dynamic energies will arrive with the turn of the calendar page.
Keep looking up!
